As one of the biggest stars in the world, Ariana Grande is a jack of all trades. From her super-successful music career and gig as a Coach on NBC's The Voice to landing a role in the upcoming film adaptation of Wicked, Ari is a woman of many talents. So, it comes as no surprise that she added beauty entrepreneur to her already impressive resume.

Ariana has followed in the footsteps of celebs like Rihanna, Selena Gomez, and Lady Gaga by launching her own makeup line. R.E.M.'s first-ever collection dropped in November 2021, with a range of Ariana's go-to products including eyeliner, falsies, highlighter, plumping gloss, and more. As of April 2022, R.E.M. Beauty has blasted off into Ulta stores. That's right, Chapters 1 and 2 of the line are now available to shop online and IRL at Ulta.

"I had this vision for my line, and it ended up being exactly how I sort of dreamt it would be. It feels so honest and so true to me," Ariana told Seventeen ahead of the brand's first launch. The "NASA" singer also dished that as "a huge fan of like sci-fi, vintage, horror, space stuff," she wanted the packaging of her products to be unique.

"I wanted to make sure that everything looked kind of like a prop from Star Trek or Black Mirror or something like that because I wanted to treat it kind of like an Apple, Tesla situation. I didn't want it to look like makeup," she said.

After being in the works with Forma Brands for two years, Ariana revealed that R.E.M. would release new products in "drops," as a streetwear fashion brand would. The first drop centered around the eyes, which Ari described as "main storytellers and sources of communication" in an interview with Allure.

"I feel like you can emote more with your eyes than you can articulate sometimes," the Sweetener hitmaker explained. She dropped eye products like fine-point eyeliner markers, matte liquid eye shadows, glittering eyeshadow toppers, and mascara.

This summer, Ariana has moved on to a new part of the face with the third drop, 'Chapter 3: on your collar,' a lip-centric collection launched on June 16 on rembeauty.com.

The latest installation has five new formulas, a lip oil, lip balm, lip liner, classic lipstick, and liquid lipstick, for you to craft your perfect summer lip.

Featuring longtime lip staples in a range of current shades and finishes (the liquid-to-matte lipstick will have you reaching for the stars), 'on your collar' is most definitely a "Modern twist on classic lip products," said Ariana on the R.E.M Beauty website.

In line with the extraterrestrial vibes of the first two drops, Ariana debuted the collection on her Instagram, posing in front of the moon, outfitted in a classic floor-length gown with matching gloves and a fresh set of bangs.

The pin-up-bombshell-meets-alien aesthetic is totally fitting for chapter 3's futuristic nostalgia vibe.

In August 2021, E! News reported that the R.E.M. trademark on the United States Patent and Trademark Office website listed products that may launch with the brand. Products ranged from concealers, lash serum, eyeshadow, eyeliners, lipstick, highlighter, hair extensions, and makeup sponges. Since Ari is known for her iconic ponytail, it makes sense that hair extensions could be next for R.E.M. Beauty.

The trademark wasn't filed under Ariana's name, but Thunder Road, Inc., which is linked to the 28-year-old pop star, as she was recently named its CEO.

So, if you need me, I'll be applying winged eyeliner while blasting Ariana's song, "Makeup."
