So, the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards were last night, and — just in case you, ya know, forgot to watch them — we've rounded up the 21 most talked about, must-see moments for your viewing pleasure! Ready? Perfect! Here we go:

.Lots and lots of celebs strutted their stuff on the red carpet, delivering some unbelievable looks:

.And plenty of ridiculously hot power couples were out in full force, just to make us all question our own love lives:

.The red carpet was also a time for stars to pay tribute to their faves! For instance, Bretman Rock wore the exact same dress Aaliyah wore to the 2001 VMAs:

.While Madison Beer paid homage to an iconic Beyoncé look in this light pink number:

.And there was plenty of ~drama~ before the show even began! First, Conor McGregor threw a punch at Machine Gun Kelly:

.And then Jamila Mustafa threw (what was perceived by fans as) shade at Lil Nas X's unique red carpet look:

.Speaking of "unique looks," the official host of the evening, Doja Cat, wore plenty throughout the show:

.Olivia Rodrigo gave her first-ever VMA performance, just before picking up the award for Song of the Year for her smash hit, "Drivers License":

.And Lil Nas X paid tribute to people living with HIV during his incredible performance of his hits "Industry Baby" and "Montero":

.Travis Scott won for Best Hip-Hop Video for his collaboration with M.I.A. and Young Thug, "Franchise," but didn't thank Kylie Jenner in his speech:

.Kacey Musgraves gave a fiery performance of her new song, "Star-crossed":

.And Chlöe blew everyone away with the first live performance of her brand-new bop, "Have Mercy":

.Best Latin Video went to Billie Eilish and Rosalía for "Lo Vas A Olvidar," which caused quite a bit of backlash online:

.Twenty One Pilots performed "Saturday," and lead singer Tyler Joesph used the opportunity to announce to the world that his wife is pregnant with their second child:

.Normani (alongside Teyana Taylor) turned up the heat with a sultry performance of "Wild Side":

.Blue Ivy Carter became the youngest person ever to win a VMA, thanks to her involvement in Beyoncé's "Brown Skin Girl" video, which won for Best Cinematography:

.Busta Rhymes performed a medley of some of his all-time greatest hits, and it brought! Me! Back:

.And speakin' of being "brought back," Foo Fighters also performed a medley of some of their greatest hits:

.Lil Nas X took home the biggest award of the night, Video of the Year, for his iconic lap-dancin'-on-Satan video, "Montero":

.And finally, Machine Gun Kelly and Travis Barker closed the show with a performance of "Paper Cuts"...

....but TBH, the standout moment of their performance was easily when they were introduced by their girlfriends — Megan Fox and Kourtney Kardashian, respectively — who referred to the fellas as their "future baby daddies":
