It might have come as a shock when Savannah Kristich and her mom Erin suddenly vanished from Dance Moms: Resurrection.

During the seventh episode, Abby Lee gathered the team before noticing that Savannah and Erin were missing. "Is their car in the parking lot?" she asked before one of the moms shook her head in response. The dance moms then confirmed the two left overnight. In the episode, one mom said that Erin didn't like the Dance Moms environment, while another mom claimed Savannah left because she did not want to lose to Elliana Walmsley. Their departure, however, did not stop Abby from placing Savannah at the top of the pyramid.

Whatever their reason was for leaving, Savannah and her mom have been gone for weeks and fans are wondering why.

Based on Savannah’s Instagram, it seems like the 12-year-old dancer did abandon the show — but did not stop dancing.

Photos show she has participated in several dance conventions and competitions, including the Radix Dance Convention.

Aside from being part of the Radix Dance Convention, Savannah won first place at the 2019 JUMP Dance Convention, where she reunited with Elliana. She also recently announced on Instagram that she would be dancing at Dancerpalooza, a festival in Long Beach, California.

It’s safe to say that leaving Dance Moms did not ruin Savannah’s dancing career and that this isn't the last time we'll be seeing her.

Before Savannah joined Dance Moms, she already had several dancing credits and awards under her belt. At the age of nine, she placed Top 12 at the 2017 Youth America Grand Prix. At the age of 11, she was first runner-up at The Dance Awards in 2018 for Mini Female Best Dancer and was part of the second season of NBC's World of Dance. She was also named the 2018 Mini National Core Performer Winner at Radix Nationals.
