Here's the Deal with Those Selena Gomez and Tyga Photos Everyone's Spiraling Over

So, yesterday while everyone was minding their own business, TMZ casually dropped photos of Selena Gomez and Tyga seemingly hanging out together circa 2:30 AM at L.A. ~hot spot~ The Nice Guy. The outlet reports that they left the restaurant at the same time—with Sel departing from the back door and Tyga from the front, and naturally the internet immediately assumed they were dating / lost all chill. Especially since Tyga was also seen at Selena's celeb-packed birthday party last month:

But before you jump to conclusions, a source "close to Selena" has since reached out to TMZ to clarify that she and Tyga are not a thing. As the outlet put it "the two aren't dating, they were there separately to see different people, and their groups ended up hanging out together inside."

Meanwhile, Selena was recently linked to filmmaker Andrea Iervolino (they were spotted together in Italy), but a source recently told Us Weekly that they are "just friends." This source also revealed that Selena is "dating and is keeping her options open with a few guys” and said “She’s really happy and is perfectly OK with being single. She’s surrounded by best friends who are her biggest support system.” Apparently, Selena's also keeping busy with work, and “now that she’s in her 30s, she sees this as a new and exciting chapter of her life."
