If you don't have cable or are considering cutting the cord, you need to figure out how to watch your favorite HGTV shows. The good news? There are plenty of options, so you just need to decide which one is best for you. Whether you want to watch the latest Fixer to Fabulous or old episodes of House Hunters, we've got you covered with these options. (Note that several years ago, HGTV shows were available on Netflix, but that is no longer the case.)

Stream HGTV on Max

If you don't have cable, the best way to watch HGTV is with Max. You'll have to pay (ad-based plans start at $9.99 a month), but you'll get access to HGTV shows at the same time they air live, plus content from HBO, Discovery, TLC, Magnolia Network, Food Network, and more. Max does not currently offer a free trial.

Stream HGTV on Discovery+

Discovery+ still offers HGTV content for a lower price than other options. With plans starting at $4.99 a month, it's a great option to stream HGTV, TLC, Food Network, Magnolia, and more. The streaming service currently offers a 7-day trial period. This is a great choice if you're not interested in the additional HBO content that Max offers.

Stream on the HGTV Website and App

The HGTV site (watch.hgtv.com) has a limited number of shows you can stream for free without logging in to a cable provider. Check the site for sections labeled "Stream the Entire Series for Free," "Stream the First Episode," and "Stream the First Season for Free." You can't watch everything, but you can stream the first episode of Rock the Block season 5 or the first season of Home Town (plus lots of others) without cable. You can also watch limited episodes through the HGTV GO app, but you'll need to have a cable provider to watch live TV.

Stream HGTV on a Service with Live TV

Services with live TV like Hulu with Live TV, YouTube TV, Philo, SlingTV, Fubo, and more have the channel as a part of their subscription plans. If you're already signed up for one of these streamers, search the listings for HGTV, and you'll be ready to go!
