Helen Mirren stepped out in head-to-toe baby blue at Monday night’s premiere of Collateral Beauty. Even matching her eye makeup to her outfit, the 71-year-old actress looked graceful and bold.
The look seamlessly combined contrasting styles, and we’re here for it. Mirren’s icy blue shadow, which matches her entire outfit, is both a nod to the 2000s revival of light-color makeup and an adaptation of the matchy makeup that’s swept red carpets throughout 2016. And her hair, side-swept and sleek, is reminiscent of both old Hollywood glamour and rock ‘n’ roll styles.
The dame completed her look with fresh, hydrated skin, a pink flush and velvety pink lips. And while Mirren is a beauty trendsetter, her monochrome style was also particularly bold, mixing textures from faux fur to brocade, and topping it off with a pin to proclaim her distaste for real fur. Who says you can’t have fun with your looks in your 70s?
