Helen Hunt rushed to hospital after LA car crash
What Women Want actor Helen Hunt was taken to hospital on Thursday 17 October after being involved in a road collision in Los Angeles.
The Academy Award-winning star “suffered no major injuries” according to TMZ, but was “shaken” by the incident and complaining about pain so was admitted to the Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre in Beverly Hills.
The publication captured and published footage of their crash along with their report, detailing how Hunt’s black SUV was flipped on its side when a white car drove into it at a crossroads. The gossip site also stated that representatives at the scene told them that no specific driver was being blamed for the accident and drugs and alcohol are not suspected to have been involved.
Hunt is perhaps best known for starring alongside Jack Nicholson in romance drama As Good as It Gets, for which she picked up an Oscar for Best Actress in a Leading Role. Other credits of hers include disaster movie Twister and Tom Hanks epic Cast Away.
She’s currently filming a revival of Mad About You - the 1990s sitcom which saw her receive four Emmys in its original run - with Three Men and a Baby’s Cynthia Harris, American Gods’ Cloris Leachman, Little Women’s Abby Quinn and Paul Reiser.

“We wanted it to be the things that it always was, which was funny, No. 1,” the 56-year-old said as she teased the reboot at the PaleyFest Fall Preview last month. “[We wanted it to be] about something we give a s*** about; and that it had that tension between how beautiful love can be and how hard it can be to love someone. That tension is the show.”
