- Heidi Klum and Tom Kaulitz's extraterrestial-zombie Halloween costumes were inspired by Kaulitz's band, Tokio Hotel, who believes in aliens.
- Klum and Kaulitz showed off their getup at the supermodel's Annual Hallowe'en Party at Cathédrale in New York City.
If your man doesn't look at you the way Tom Kaulitz endearingly looks at Heidi Klum while she's covered in head-to-toe prosthetic rotting flesh, then is he really your man?
The supermodel and her husband went all out for Klum's New York City Halloween bash dressed up as... well, I don't quite know what. Aliens? Astronaut zombies? The Dante's Inferno's version of Ex Machina?
Speaking to People, Klum revealed that she and her beau had been scheming this couple's costume since last November. The best part? They conceived of the idea because Kaultiz and his band, Tokio Hotel, believe in aliens. (Why not?)
“The inspiration is Tokio Hotel, which is the band of my husband. They believe in aliens,” Klum said quite simply. Kaulitz helpfully added, “Everyone does, no?”
The couple continued to explain their backstory, which evidently involved more effort and thought than most people put into thesis papers.
“I was in space looking for a new planet for humans to live on, right? Cause we already discarded ours,” Kaulitz, who wore a bloodied Astronaut ensemble, said.
Klum, dressed as a naked humanoid creature with her body parts cut open and various tubes affixed to her bosoms and brain, agreed. “Oh yeah, we messed this one up,” she told the outlet. “We need a new one.”
Kaulitz continued, "I was out there, touring the universe and so, I found her, I found this creature, and I was like, ‘Wow, she looks good.' I brought her home. So, hopefully, she has some useful information planned.”
Ever the dedicated couple, Klum and Kaulitz rang in Halloween last year dressed as chillingly realistic versions of Shrek and Fiona. I don't know what's scarier: a group of grown men who believes in aliens or seeing beloved animated characters manifest on a red carpet.
