Heidi Klum is known for her incredibly elaborate Halloween costumes, but even the model outdid herself this year for her spooky season party following a two-year hiatus due to COVID.

The 49-year-old noted that she starts planning her costume for the next year on Nov. 1, the day after the holiday! "When I wake up tomorrow, I start thinking of the next [costume]," she told the outlet.

For her look this year, the model showed up dressed as an earthworm. Klum mentioned that she spent "all day playing around, putting things on" and started the process at 11 in the morning
Klum was open about the transformation process, giving fans a step-by-step look at on Instagram before revealing the finished product with a video of herself, in worm form, and her husbandTom Kaulitz, who was dressed as a fisherman with a bloody eye.

According to PEOPLE, the America's Got Talent judge did press interviews while laying down on the blue carpet and started to do the classic "worm" dance move to fit her costume aesthetic.

Back in 2013, the German-American supermodel told Parade.com that her looks were "definitely not a last-minute decision," adding, "I’d rather stay home than go out in an uninspired costume."

“I start thinking of ideas months before Halloween, and I have an amazing team who makes the impossible possible. I don’t really have a system for picking my costume each year, they kind of just come to me," she explained. "It takes months of preparation.”
