The eldest of Heidi’s four children with ex-husband Seal — who adopted Leni in 2009 — seems to be following in the supermodel’s footsteps after revealing her very first magazine cover on Thursday. And while Leni wrote on Instagram that she “couldn’t dream of a better start” than being joined by her mother for the shoot, Heidi made it clear to the publication that it is her daughter’s time to shine.

“Leni has already seen a lot of the world and has been behind the scenes from an early age,” the proud mother said. “I always find it nice when she accompanies me at work. And it's a strange, but very good feeling that it's the other way around today: I accompany my daughter to work, not the other way around.”

It was just last week that Heidi talked about Leni’s interest in the industry, as Klum is currently spending time with her children in Germany while filming the country’s edition of Next Top Model. She even admitted that the teen, had long expressed interest in modeling, although Heidi thought she was too young.

“She's old enough now,” Heidi told People. “I always thought she was too young. We always also decided to keep the children out of the public eye. But she's driving a car now, she's 16, so I figured if you can do that, you can also model now if this is what you wish to do.”

Leni explained to Vogue Germany that she was offered her first modeling gig three years ago, at the age of 13, by the clothing brand Brandy Melville. “Back then I begged Mom, but no chance! I now understand that it would have been too early.”

With Vogue already under her belt as her first gig, Leni is now sure to have a big future in the industry — one that Heidi is ready to witness as a proud parent.

“I’m so proud of you. Not because you chose this path. I know that no matter which path you go, it will be your own,” Heidi wrote in German on her Instagram. “You aren’t a mini me and I’m happy for you that you can now show who YOU are.”
