Heavyweight boxing in good place after Deontay Wilder's gutsy comeback victory

Few would argue that the heavyweight division has been in a bad place over the last decade or so.

But in the last few years, some hope has emerged. Deontay Wilder, Anthony Joshua and Joseph Parker emerged as world champions with more than average ability. Joshua earned his kudos for a gutsy back-and-forth victory over Wladmir Klitschko last year before 90,000 fans in London.

On Saturday in New York, Wilder did the same. He was struggling badly against previously unbeaten Luis Ortiz and on the verge of going out. Somehow, Wilder survived the seventh round and came back to finish the Cuban in the 10th.
