In a season full of scene-stealers, musical moments, and one of the biggest cliff-hangers that left fans with tons of questions, it's no surprise to see that not everyone was able to survive and even some characters left way before we even got to know them. While there's obviously a very good reason why fans weren't able to see Heather as much we should have liked, some fans have still fallen in love with her. Here's everything you need to know about Heather from Stranger Things...
Major spoilers for season 3 of Stranger Things below!
What's Heather's Story?
Poor Heather. She definitely couldn't have guessed what was going to happen to her when she signed up for her lifeguard job over at the Hawkins town pool. Although the moms of Hawkins hated her, she seemed to have liked her job and cared about her co-workers. After hearing Billy screaming in the shower, she checked up on him to make sure he was okay, but was kidnapped and taken to the Mind Flayer instead.
While under its control, Heather ended up helping Billy find more people to bring to the monster. When El and Max went to her house to check up on her after El saw a vision of Heather screaming and her co-workers revealed that she didn't show up in days, she seemed normal along with Billy. But, once they left, the Mind Flayer took over and knocked her parents unconscious in order to gain control.
Heather is also seen helping Billy heal from his wounds, especially after his encounter with the kids at the sauna. She was last seen at the end of episode six when her body randomly exploded and turned into mush for the Mind Flayer to eat before the Battle of Starcourt.
Who plays her?
Francesca Reale got to play Heather for 6 episodes in season 3. While she might be new to Stranger Things, hardcore Netflix fans might recognize her as Emily from Haters Back Off.
