- When Calls the Heart fans think Andrea Brooks' time on the show is running out.
- Her character, Faith Carter, is currently deciding whether or not she moves to Chicago for medical school.
- Hallmark Channel and Brooks have yet to comment on the rumors.
Between Jack's tragic death and Abigail's sudden departure, When Calls the Heart fans aren't ready to handle another loss, which is exactly why many fear the worst: Some Hearties seem to think that Andrea Brooks, who plays Faith Carter on the popular Hallmark drama, may leave the show.
To make matters worse, Faith didn't appear in the season 6 finale last May. Prior to that episode, Faith had left town to take care of her father, who recently had a heart attack. But alas, when the show returned for season 7 this February, Faith came back to Hope Valley and carried on her life as normal.
In the most recent episode though, she's wrestling with the decision of whether or not she should go to medical school. The problem: It requires her to relocate to Chicago, which means she'll have to leave her Hope Valley community behind.
Since Faith's future is still up in the air, it seems like she'll continue to stick around Hope Valley — for now, at least. But the question — Is Faith leaving When Calls the Heart? — remains. Really, it makes sense, especially because Brooks' schedule is getting busier and busier by the day. Last summer, she was promoted to a series regular on Supergirl, her other hit show airing on The CW. On top of all that, she recently gave birth to her first child, a daughter named Viola.
But we have faith (get it?) that the storyline in this week's episode is a sign that she'll be sticking around for the rest of season 7. The promo for "Sweet and Sour" shows Faith and Carson caring for Rosemary while she has a bad case of chicken pox. Maybe this will show her that she has everything she needs right in Hope Valley? Only time will tell.
On the plus side, Hallmark Channel and Brooks haven't commented on the rumors, and recently the actress has been very vocal about how much she loves working on When Calls the Heart. "It's one big happy family. We all know each other so well at this point... It's really comfortable. It's like coming home," she recently said during a Facebook Live.
Looks like you can rest assured, Hearties.
