Dixie D'Amelio is making the transition from TikTok star to pop superstar. The 18-year-old just released her first single, "Be Happy," and, of course, the song is already blowing up TikTok.

The song seems to be about Dixie dealing with being in the spotlight and constantly feeling like she has to smile and look a certain way. With almost 12 million Instagram followers and over 27 million TikTok followers, Dixie is probably used to fans reading into every one of her facial expressions and moods. With lyrics like, "Sometimes I don't want to be happy/Don't hold it against me/If I'm down just leave me there/Let me be," she's making it clear that it's OK to not always feel OK.

" I wanted to share the honesty of this message with others, especially those around my own age," Dixie said in a press release. "I remain so grateful for the people that surround me and the opportunities I’ve been given, but some days, as we all know, it’s not easy to be happy. My hope is that anyone who listens can be reminded that it’s okay to feel what we feel. It’s okay have a bad day. We all have them and you are not alone."

Dixie is known for her good voice and she often posts videos of her singing on TikTok. So, it's not too shocking that Dixie would want to make the transition to music.

Of course, Dixie went on TikTok to post the first video for the song, enlisting some of her friends for help.

"Be Happy" is already a hit among Dixie's friends, with Nikita Dragun, Griffin Johnson, and more sharing it on their pages. It's only a matter of time before someone makes up a TikTok dance to the tune.
