This Haunted Train Ride Will Scare the Bejeebers Out of You

From Country Living

From spa-like getaways to Harry Potter-inspired journeys, it seems like there's a train ride for every everyone nowadays. And if you're into thrills and the supernatural, this new locomotive adventure has your name written all over it.

The New Hope and Ivyland Railroad will host a grown-ups only (teens are included though!) Haunted Train Ride through Pennsylvania this year. The scary 40-minute ride departs from the quaint small town of New Hope, and it's sure to be full of freaky frights. Plus, tickets start at just $35.

Riders can expect to see a few ghostly guests on board this PG-13 train ride. "When this train leaves the safety of the station, you are tossed into the hands of the unknown," says the rail line's website. "Our creatures are sure to frighten the strongest of heart, and test the nerve of all onboard."

Plus, the old-school trains are outfitted with vintage equipment, seats, and more from the 1910s through 1930s, making the adventure even more fun.

You can catch the spooky ride on weekends and a few Thursdays starting October 13 and running through Halloween. Riders can choose from 7:20 p.m., 8:30 p.m., 9:40 p.m., and 10:50 p.m. departures, but hurry because tickets are selling out fast. And while this eerie train ride is reserved for adults, take note the rail line also hosts a little kid-friendly Trick or Treat ride, also starting on October 13.
