Hasbro now lets you make yourself into an action figure

Most of our avatars these days are digitals, but with the Hasbro Selfie Series, we turned In The Know producer Mark Chrysafis into an IRL action figure.

Let’s be real — I.P. tends to rule our worlds these days. It’s not totally crazy to imagine yourself as a Marvel superhero swinging around the city with Spider-Man or joining the rebel alliance in Star Wars.

Usually, our hero (or villain — hey, if that’s what you’re into) fantasies are relegated to video games and movie theaters. Now in a few easy steps, you can 3D print an action figure of yourself as your favorite character.

So Mark, a longtime action figure collector, gave the Hasbro Selfie Series a try. It was definitely something to geek out over.

“This is legit the coolest thing I own,” the toy connoisseur said (although he may be a little biased). “It’s easily my favorite figure.”

Mark downloaded the Hasbro Pulse app to scan his face and customize his hair and outfit. After he finalized his look, his action figure was 3D printed by Formlabs and delivered to his door.

“The process was super easy, and it was fun customizing it on the app,” Mark said.

While he opted to get the Spider-Man treatment, Hasbro offers a range of characters, including Black Widow, the Pink Mighty Morphin Power Ranger, a Star Wars Stormtrooper and G.I. JOE‘s Snake Eyes to name a few.

“I’ve been a collector for a long time, and now I finally have an action figure of myself!” Mark said.
