Sound the 'Harry Styles is acting again' alarm (what do you mean you don't have one of those?), because the One Direction singer's next role has just been announced.

After wowing critics and fans alike in Dunkirk back in 2017, Harry took a step back from acting to focus on his latest album, Fine Line, which was released in December 2019.

Now, nine months later, 26-year-old Harry's been announced as the lead in Don't Worry Darling, opposite Florence Pugh. This is so exciting.

Collider report that Florence will play "unhappy housewife who slowly begins to question her own sanity when she starts to notice strange occurrences in her small, utopian community in the California desert." Harry will be her "picture-perfect husband, who loves her dearly, but is hiding a dark secret from her."

The script will be written by Booksmart writer Katie Silberman, and executive produced by Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke, while Olivia Wilde will direct and also star.

Apparently Shia LeBeouf pulled out due to scheduling conflicts, meaning Harry took on the role. Chris Pine and Dakota Johnson will also star. So far, Harry hasn't responded to the announcement, but Florence took to Instagram Stories to write, "Hells yeah. So so excited to have you on board!! @harrystyles.’

Olivia Wilde added, "Jack and Alice. Very proud to work with these fine folks. #DontWorryDarling" with a picture of Harry and Florence together.

No word on when production will start, but one thing is for sure: this sounds amazing.
