In the wake of Prince Harry's as-explosive-as-the-hype-said-it-would-be memoir, Spare, it seemed like we were firmly in the "rest of the royal family straight up ignoring the Sussexes indefinitely" era of royal gossip, right? Welp, apparently we might not be? According to a new report from the Sunday Times, Harry and his wife/partner-in-royal-exit Meghan Markle could be poised to make up with the royals by this spring.

Specifically, the anonymous royal source behind this latest round of royal goss says the "only way forward" for *any* of the royals, at this point, is for Harry and Meghan to sit down for serious peace talks with King Charles, Prince William, and possibly some other keys royals (and trusted mediators) and put their drama behind them before Charles' coronation. Since the coronation is already scheduled for May 6, that puts a hard deadline on said peace talks, if they end up happening.

FWIW, the royal source is optimistic about how such a meeting would go, describing Harry's relationship with the royals as "fixable"—but only if everyone involved is willing to put in the work.

"It's going to take flexibility on all sides, but it can be done," the very optimistic royal source predicted, adding that it's definitely a conversation that would have to happen in person and suggesting that the royals should also bring in some of Harry's longtime allies in the UK, like Harry's former private secretary Ed Lane Fox and the Queen's former private secretary, Lord Christopher Geidt, "so he doesn’t think he’s being ambushed."

The source (who might secretly just be a Family Counseling 101 textbook), added that, "Both sides need to hold their hands up and admit we didn’t get everything right, and we got a lot wrong, and we have to say to him 'we understand the pain you’ve been through.' The King can do it."

Just to help manifest ^^^this^^^ all actually happening, here's an old picture of Harry and Charles (complete with a happy Will in the background) that we can all imagine is them actually having a full kiss and makeup moment:
