Calling all Harlan Coben fans, we have some news that is guaranteed to make your weekend more interesting. The thriller writer is back with a brand new series Harlan Coben's Shelter, and this time the new series is on Prime Video.
Shelter is an adaptation of Coben's young adult novel of the same name and tells the story of a teenager named Mickey (Jaden Michael) who moves to live with his aunt after the traumatic death of his father. On his first day at his new school he befriends fellow newbie Ashley (Samantha Bugliaro) who goes missing the next day. Along with his two friends, Mickey sets about finding out what happened to Ashley.
And there's other mysteries to contend with too. The group investigate the mysterious disappearance of a boy who went missing 27 years ago on the same date as Ashley and the huge gothic mansion Mickey's father once got trapped in. Basically if it's mystery you're after, Harlan Coben's Shelter needs to be your next watch.
Fans are already binge-watching the first three episodes, and despite the whole series not being released yet, many are curious to know if we'll be seeing Mickey again for another series.
So will Harlan Coben's Shelter get a season two? Here's everything we know.
Has Harlan Coben's Shelter season 2 been confirmed?
Right now, there's been no confirmation if Harlan Coben's Shelter will get a second season. However as the series has just dropped the first few episodes, with the next five being released in subsequent weeks, it could be a while before we hear about another season.
Usually Harlan Coben's shows are limited series when they appear on Netflix, however Shelter is a Prime Video series and so things could be completely different this time around.
Shelter is based on the young adult series of three books: Shelter, Seconds Away and Found, so there's definitely plenty of material out there that could lend itself to another season.
Who might appear in Harlan Coben's Shelter season 2?
It all depends on who ultimately survives the first season of Harlan Coben's Shelter, as we know his series often feature a number of deaths. Until the final episode of the season airs on 22nd September we won't know for sure who would make it into a potential second season.
However, surely it can't be Shelter without the main trio? And so we'd hope to see Jaden Michael, Adrian Greensmith and Abby Corrigan reprise their roles as Mickey, Spoon and Ema.
What might happen in Harlan Coben's Shelter season 2?
Again, until we know exactly how the series ends on 22nd September (we're already counting down) we won't know for sure what a potential second season would cover.
Given there are three books in the Mickey Bolitar young adult novel series there are plenty of opportunities for new plots and mysteries for the trio to solve. Or perhaps there could be a brand new set of mysteries just for the TV series?
Either way we'll keep our fingers crossed the series returns.
