Here’s What Happened to Diamond Jack and Rumeal From ‘Love Is Blind’

Before Love Is Blind returns for season 2—when a brand-new batch of singles will speed date in separate “pods” before proposing—Netflix released Love Is Blind: After the Altar, a chance to catch up with the previous-podded partners who did in fact propose, are still happily married, and make all us cynics look like fools.
Love Is Blind: After the Altar also opened up new opportunities for romantic redemption, particularly with contestant Diamond Jack, who, like, totally deserved better than the disparaging words leveled at her by ex-fiancé Carlton Morton. (The two exchanged strong words in Mexico following their engagement. They have since separated.) Jack was given more screen time in After the Altar and was set up on a more conventional blind date with the friend of a friend’s boyfriend. His name is Rumeal, and he seemed, like, a lot better for Jack.
But turns out Love isn’t just blind, but also totally stupid and annoying. Rumeal ended up ghosting Jack and then showing up to the reunion and mostly sulking around. He left early without her. Poor Jack. Here’s what we know about the situation.
Are Diamond Jack and Rumeal dating?
According to the internet, no. It appears like the reunion special date (which was filmed last fall) was a one-and-done affair for Jack.
After Rumeal left, Jack told her friend, Ebony, “I don’t like your friend. He said, ‘I’m ready to go. I do not want to be here.’ He’s clearly not having a good time.” Later, in her confessional interview, Jack said, “Unfortunately, not everything went well with Rumeal and me. I thought tonight was going to be amazing, maybe end it with a nice kiss. Maybe end it with a future with Rumeal. But it’s not like that.”
