'Hamilton' Sing Along Alert: Stuck-at-Home Fans Can Submit Videos For a Chance to Be Part of #HamAtHome
While Broadway has now been dark for several weeks in an effort to help slow the spread of the coronavirus, Hamilton is bringing light into our homes with a fun new initiative.
Last week the Broadway show announced on Twitter that they will be “casting” for #HamAtHome, an opportunity for super fans to join in on the fun of the ‘Saturday Night On Broadway’ tradition. The tweet, shared by the official Hamilton Twitter page, read: "#HamAtHome Casting Notice! While we're at home staying safe, we're bringing #Hamilton to your living room! Now Seeking: #Hamilfans singing "Non-Stop" for a chance to be included in our 3/28 digital Saturday Night On Broadway video! Submit your video using #HamAtHome."
Hamilfans around the world can submit videos of themselves singing “Non-Stop,” the upbeat rap from the beloved Broadway show.

This isn’t the first effort that Broadway has made to lift the spirits of the musical theater community. Just last week the Actors Fund announced that they will produce mini-Broadway shows online at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m every day, and Hamilton star Lin-Manuel Miranda released a never-before-heard Hamilton song called "I Have This Friend" on Twitter, which he announced in a sweet tweet:
”Wish I could send you peace of mind via this app. Alas. But I can send you music no one's heard. Here's a cut Hamilton/Washington tune called I Have This Friend. No one's heard it, not even Kail.”
If your Hamilton performances have been limited to concerts in the shower or sing-alongs with friends, this is your chance to make it to the big screen. Selected videos will be shared this Saturday, March 28th, on the Hamilton Youtube channel. Break a leg!
