The Hallmark Channel's New Wine Club Will Send You Bottles Paired with Made-for-TV Movies

Back in May, I covered how the Hallmark Channel was getting its own hard seltzer. It didn't surprise me: Hard seltzers have become so popular, everyone seems to have one: Sonic Drive-In, Warheads candy, even Gordon Ramsay. I was surprised, however, to learn that these seltzers came courtesy of Hallmark Channel Wines — which had launched last year. Who knew the Hallmark Channel had its own wines? And are they even popular?

As it turns out, apparently plenty of people know about Hallmark Channel Wines — and they must be pretty popular — because the Hallmark Channel has just announced they are launching an entire Hallmark Channel Wines Club, automatically sending wines directly to members' homes four times a year.

"In its first year, Hallmark Channel Wines has been a huge hit among wine lovers and Hallmark Channel enthusiasts. The Wine Club gives us the opportunity to provide our members with a truly distinct membership experience that delivers on the Hallmark Channel lifestyle," stated Danielle Mullin, SVP of Brand Marketing for Crown Media Family Networks, which is owned by Hallmark Cards. "By joining the Hallmark Channel Wine Club, members will receive exciting new wines created exclusively for the Club and enjoy some impressive member benefits including bonus bottle(s), shipping discounts and special offers, wine tastings with the winemakers, a free month of Hallmark Movies Now, and other unique benefits like Hallmark Channel DVDs, Hallmark Publishing eBooks and audiobooks, Hallmark Keepsake Ornaments, and more."

But mainly, members will receive wine — arriving four times a year in three-, six-, or 12-bottle shipments depending on whether they opt for the $48, $96, or $179 package (some prices with shipping, some without). All the wines are still produced in partnership with Wines That Rock — which got their name from making music-branded wines but has also made wines for everyone from Star Trek to NPR. And don't worry: Each wine is ready to be "paired with Hallmark Channel movie-viewing suggestions."

The first wine is set to ship this September. Autumn Dreams is billed as "a special Reserve Pinot Noir with notes of boysenberry pie and ripe cherries." Then, when winter rolls around (i.e. "Countdown to Christmas" season) members can expect to get Snow Kissed, "a Special Reserve Zinfandel with notes of blackberries and delicious plums."

"These elevated wines will not only be perfectly paired for each season but will also offer our wine making team the opportunity to present a line of special reserve wines produced in small lots with a strong focus on quality and value," explained Wines That Rock's winemaker Andrew Nelson. "Each year, the Wine Club will offer four unique seasonal shipments that will deliver on taste, value and most importantly — the perfect way to celebrate life's special moments all year long."
