Hallmark's 'Christmas at the Palace' Was Filmed at One of the Most Regal Places Ever
If you want your very own romantic royal adventure, go grab your prince because we know just where to go.
One of Hallmark's latest "Countdown to Christmas" movies, Christmas at the Palace, was regal in every way thanks, in part, to its real-life majestic setting. The festive flick, which takes place in the fictional country of San Senova, was shot in several historic spots around Romania that anyone can visit.
Earlier this fall, the entire cast and crew traveled to the European country, where they filmed around Bucharest, Romania. Stars Merritt Patterson, Andrew Cooper, and Brittany Bristow all shared snaps of their travels from their time on set. With a series of stunning castles nearby, it's no wonder the network chose this dreamy destination as the backdrop.

In fact, you may recognize the area from other popular holiday features like Hallmark's A Royal Christmas (2014), Netflix’s A Christmas Prince (2017), and Hallmark Movies and Mysteries’ A Princess for Christmas (2011). Fans can even tour Peles Castle, the palace featured throughout A Christmas Prince.
While there is no word on exactly what landmark Hallmark used for Christmas at the Palace, there are plenty of Romanian sights available for you to get your royal fix.
But if you can't swing a trip abroad right now, you can still get the virtual fairytale experience in several of Hallmark's past movies including Royally Ever After (2018), Royal Matchmaker (2018), and Royal New Year's Eve (2017). We have a feeling that former Hallmark star turned duchess, Meghan Markle, would approve!
