Haley Joy Meets Hal Pal
Well, it was only a matter of time before Jenna Bush Hager introduced her newest bundle of joy to her cohost and friend Hoda Kotb and her daughter, Haley Joy. The photos Kotb posted today show the sweet meeting of Haley Joy and “Hal Pal”, as Bush Hager’s daughters have dubbed their baby brother.
Kotb took to Instagram today to share two photos from the play date simply captioned “Haley + Hal” with two heart Emojis for emphasis. In the first photo, big girl Haley is holding baby Hal on her lap with a super say cheese grin. The second photo reveals the two smiling mamas, Jenna and Hoda, enjoying the moment.

Henry Harold Hager was born August 2 at 9:02AM and weighed 7lbs, 5oz. Earlier this week when Bush Hager called into share the happy news with her TODAY family, she admitted her famous father was a little hesitant at first about the name. "My dad was a little mad that the name wasn't George," she quipped before quickly adding he did come around and “he said it was a cool name.”

It makes perfect sense that Hal’s first visitors after the Bush family would be his mama’s cohost, Kotb and her daughter. The two ladies are far more than colleagues and have shared how close their friendship truly is many times. They had a conversation on air at the beginning of the year about how Bush Hager has generously gifted Haley Joy some great hand-me-down items—and we mamas can relate!
"That's what I love about Jenna," said Kotb. "She shows up with a grocery bag, paper, full of — there's like one shoe in there, some clothes," Kotb recalled with a smile.
Mila, Poppy, Haley Joy, Hope Catherine, and now baby Hal are sure to have many playdates in their future and we eagerly await the photos their mamas are sure to share.
