H&M’s Newest Designer Collaboration is Its Wildest One Yet

H&M just revealed the lookbook for its latest designer collaboration, with Paris-based luxury brand Kenzo, and it’s probably the wildest one yet. The collaboration was created under Kenzo’s Carol Lim and Humberto Leon (also the founders of achingly hip New York-based boutique Opening Ceremony, no big deal), and will have pieces for both men and women. Prices have not been released as of this writing, but for past H&M designer collaborations, prices have topped out at around $300 for items like coats and at $100 to $200 for blouses, trousers, and dresses.

If you know Kenzo, then it should go without saying that this collection is not for the wallflowers. Most items sport an eye-popping mix of Kenzo signatures new and old: There’s the house’s famous net print and neon colors, statement sweatshirts, and SO. MUCH. ANIMAL PRINT. As in, tiger-print dresses, turtlenecks, socks, palazzo pants, hats, and maxi skirts! Most shoppers will probably grab a piece or two (that red tiger print blouse is mine!), but we can’t wait to see the brave, bold souls who try it head to toe.

The lookbook is also notable for picturing not just models, but also an array of cool kids that Lim and Leon admire, such as writer Amy Sall, rapper Le1f, artist/DJ Juliana Huxtable, makeup artist Isamaya Ffrench, photographer Youngjun Koo, and musician Anna of the North. It’s a beautifully diverse casting that underscores the disparate global influences in the collection.

The Kenzo x H&M Collection will be in stores and online Nov. 3. Click on to see the full lookbook and plan which items you’ll beeline for now — because if history is any indication, this collection will definitely sell out.
