Gwyneth Paltrow Celebrated Her Birthday With a Bathtub Selfie

Gwyneth Paltrow turned 49 yesterday and, just like last year, she celebrated her birthday in her birthday suit. Only this time, things were less posed and more laid back, literally, with this year's post showing Paltrow relaxing in a bathtub. Continuing the tradition of celebrities posing in tubs, Paltrow showed herself under a dark, inky sky soaking up a little time for herself with her hair in a messy bun and her legs crossed and hanging over the edge of the claw-foot soaking tub.
Paltrow captioned the image with a half-moon eclipse emoji.
Paltrow's husband, Brad Falchuk, also posted an Instagram tribute for his wife's big day. His photo showed Paltrow in an all-grey sweatsuit, soaking up the sun.
"When you live with this woman, a few things become clear," he wrote. "There are the obvious things — that she's beautiful, that she's funny, that she likes things the way she likes them. That she's always busy — but also always has time for you. But, the two things that really stand out are that she notices. And she acts."
Last year, Paltrow rang in 48 with a nude post that had her posing among verdant green leaves.
"In nothing but my birthday suit today... thank you all so much for the birthday wishes and thank you to @goop's insanely amazing brand new body butter for making me think I can still get my kit off," Paltrow wrote in that caption, taking a little time for self-promotion along with the celebration.
And if any body butter manages to bottle Gwyneth's glow, there's no doubt her followers appreciate the tip.
