Gwen Stefani's cutest quotes about 'Sexiest Man Alive' Blake Shelton

Blake Shelton wouldn’t be everyone’s pick for Sexiest Man Alive, but Gwen Stefani is all for it. The songstress can’t say enough about her boyfriend of the last two years.

Stefani, who was surely tipped off to the news that he’d be receiving the People magazine title, appeared surprised when Access Hollywood asked for her reaction to the rumor Shelton would win the title. “What? Oh my God. Well, they got that right!” she said.

She gave another sweet endorsement to the magazine. “He’s perfect for it. Somebody that is funny and has a sense of humor is sexy — that’s the No. 1 thing,” she gushed.

Of course, the singer has spoken highly of her beau many times before his latest honor.

In February, she raved about him on Late Night With Seth Meyers. “I love Blake! He is the most incredible guy,” Stefani said. “Everybody loves Blake, and that’s the thing. There’s no way around it. He’s just a sparkly, like, happy, amazing person.”

She cheered him on in January, when his song landed at the top of the charts. “How are u real?!” she posted. That’s quite a compliment coming from someone who, between work on The Voice and off hours with her three sons, seems to spend most of her time with the country star.

On Blake’s birthday in June, Stefani made an even bolder statement when she called Shelton “my favorite person I ever met.”

There’s also that memorable line from her 2016 song about her love, “Make Me Like You”: “Thank God that I found you.”

Shelton, for his part, seems just as smitten. He told People in a new interview that he realizes the two, who began dating when each was suffering a very public split, are an unlikely match. Somehow, it just works.

“She and I, on paper, we couldn’t be more different,” he said. “But in life, nothing’s ever worked better for me.”
