[Hi, people. There are major spoilers ahead for last night’s episode of Grey’s Anatomy, so if you have not watched yet, please exit this post now! Before it’s too late!]
Last night, in the span of one Grey’s Anatomy episode, the show introduced us to and killed off one of Maggie’s long-lost cousins. It was a whirlwind! Fans, admittedly, feel a little whiplashed by the whole thing, but they’re also making some seriously valid points about how the whole thing could have been avoided.
Sabrina and her dad showed up at Grey Sloan Memorial looking for Richard. Maggie brought her and her dad over to PAC North, and that’s where they discovered Sabrina’s heart problem, and Maggie operated. As you know, Sabrina died, which is a major bummer. Not only did the team in the O.R. make some major mistakes, but as people on Reddit are pointing out, Maggie shouldn’t have even been there in the first place.
One user wrote: “I can’t even with the amount of sheer ignorance in this hospital. Plus, why did they even do it there anyway? Maggie would know that she would need to do it at Grey-Sloan. I get that Richard was there, but come on! He knows how bad it is so why wouldn’t he tell them to go to GS instead of PAC-N-Play!”
Great point, and also, PAC-N-Play is a phenomenal roast. And someone responded with, “For real though, the second they saw those scans, Richard should have made them get back in the car.”
In all seriousness, both Maggie and Richard know PAC North is a crappy hospital, so why wouldn’t they send her back to Grey Sloan as soon as they knew the extent of her heart problems? Richard isn’t allowed to work at Grey Sloan, but he was just sitting in the waiting room anyway. She could have survived!! Case closed. Goodbye.
