Grayson Allen and Trae Young get tangled up in NBA Summer League game

Two of college basketball’s most polarizing players got into a bit of a situation during an NBA Summer League game on Thursday.

Trae Young’s Atlanta Hawks team was playing Grayson Allen’s Utah Jazz team. Allen was guarding Young, got a little too close, and then this happened.

Yeah, that was a gratuitous move by Allen at the end there, even if you think that Young was in the wrong by reacting the way he did to get Allen off of him after the foul was first committed. We are sure that will elicit well-reasoned reactions about a player who was known to trip an opposing player or two in his college basketball career.

The two were each assigned technicals for their roles in the skirmish.

Young was taken No. 5 overall by the Dallas Mavericks, who traded the pick to Atlanta as part of a deal for Luka Doncic. Allen was the No. 21 pick in the draft by the Utah Jazz.
