One woman wanted to be a grandmother so badly that she purchased a baby dress in 2011 and waited nearly seven years to give it to her daughter at her gender reveal party.

Marjorie Zarbaugh’s mother was shopping at Macy’s in Winter Haven, Fla., on Sept. 9, 2011, when she saw a “First Impressions” dress at Macy’s. She was finally able to gift it seven years later at her daughter’s gender reveal party, which was held in May 2018. Marjorie’s mom wrote on the receipt, “Look how long I’ve had this?” and circled the date, according to Tampa’s ABC Action News.

Four months after the gender reveal, Marjorie had her baby girl, born Sept. 9, 2018.

Recently, on Jan. 12, Marjorie was going through the baby clothes she’d received and found the dress from her mother, with the tags still on it. When Marjorie went to cut the tags off, she noticed the date when the dress was purchased. To her surprise, it was on her baby girl Madelynn’s birth date, seven years earlier.

“This is too good not to share! My mom gave me a gift at our gender reveal party,” Marjorie wrote on Facebook. “She had bought this little dress years before hoping she’d have a granddaughter one day. I thought it was cool so I kept the tags on. Tonight I snapped this picture to remember it before cutting the tags off to wash the dress. When I sent the picture to my mom I noticed something, she bought this dress on Madelynn’s BIRTHDAY 7 years prior. How do you explain that! Tears, happy tears.”
