Grammys 2020: Ozzy Osbourne makes first red carpet appearance with cane days after Parkinson's reveal

Music icon Ozzy Osbourne has arrived at Sunday evening's Grammy Awards for his first major red carpet appearance since he revealed that he's been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease.

The Black Sabbath singer, 71, arrived holding a cane and on the arms of his daughter, Kelly Osbourne.

Osbourne later took the stage with his wife, Sharon, to present DJ Khaled and John Legend with the Grammy for Best Rap/Sung Performance. Both singers took to the stage to pay tribute to Nipsey Hussle, who was also featured on the track before he was killed last March. Hussle also won a posthumous Grammy for “Racks in the Middle."

Osbourne's appearance at the annual awards show comes just days after the singer opened up about his health to "Good Morning America," explaining that he learned about the diagnosis after a fall last year.

"I'm no good with secrets. I cannot walk around with it anymore 'cause it's like I'm running out of excuses, you know?" he told anchor Robin Roberts.

The singer said: "It's been terribly challenging for us all. I did my last show [on] New Year's Eve. Then I had a bad fall. I had to have surgery on my neck, which screwed all my nerves."

"It's PRKN 2," added his wife, Sharon.

"There's so many different types of Parkinson's; it's not a death sentence by any stretch of the imagination, but it does affect certain nerves in your body. And it's -- it's like you have a good day, a good day, and then a really bad day."

The musician said that finally opening up about the diagnosis to his fans has helped him cope with the news.

"They're my air, you know. I feel better. I've owned up to the fact that I have... a case of Parkinson's. And I just hope they hang on and they're there for me because I need them."
