Grammy Winner Takes Credit for John Travolta's Bald Head

Pitbull confirmed he's to credit for John Travolta embracing his baldness.

When Travolta appeared on Good Morning America in 2019, he said shaving his head after struggling with balding was "Pitbull-inspired." While on The Howard Stern Show, Howard Stern asked Pitbull if he really was "the guy that got Travolta to shave his head."

Pitbull clarified, "I didn't get him to shave his head but he did ask me if he could shave his head and I said, 'Why not? Absolutely.'" Stern noted he's a fan of the actor's look, saying, "I think Travolta looks great now."

The Cuban hip-hop star explained that Travolta attended Pitbull's handprint ceremony outside Hollywood's Chinese Theatre in 2018, and it was there that the Grease star asked if he should take the plunge. "Sure enough, he cracked it and now I know what I'm gonna look like when I get older," Pitbull joked.

However, Travolta had previously said that it was Pitbull's idea for the Face/Off star to shave his head. "He would send pictures of me, I have all my hair, and he'd superimpose no hair and say, 'I prefer this,' so I thought…Maybe it's time to do it," the actor told Extra.

After Travolta debuted his new look in 2019, he starred in Pitbull's music video for "3 to Tango," playing the singer, and showing off the dance moves that turned him into a Hollywood icon. He also made a surprise appearance at the 2020 Premio Lo Nuestro, dancing to the song onstage next to Pitbull.
