Netflix's beloved comedy series Grace & Frankie was renewed for season 6 before season 5 had even premiered on the streaming service. But now that a year has passed since new episodes of the show have been released, fans are wondering: When does Grace and Frankie come back to Netflix?!

Ahead of the premiere, here's a look at everything we know about Grace and Frankie season 6 so far:

When is season 6 coming to Netflix?

Good news, Grace and Frankie fans! Season 6 will premiere on Netflix on Wednesday, January 15, so new episodes are almost here.

To get yourself even more pumped for the show's return, be sure to watch the season 6 trailer above.

How many episodes will there be in season 6?

Like all of the show's previous seasons, Grace and Frankie season 6 will have 13 episodes. But don't be sad once you inevitably binge-watch them all in one weekend: Netflix has already confirmed that Grace and Frankie will have a seventh, longer season consisting of 16 episodes. Season 7 will be the show's last, but it will also make Grace and Frankie the longest-running Netflix original series of all time.

Is the whole cast returning for the new season?

It seems so! Looking at the trailer, you'll see that all of your favorites from the previous five seasons will indeed be returning:

  • Jane Fonda as Grace

  • Lily Tomlin as Frankie

  • Sam Waterson as Sol

  • Martin Sheen as Robert

  • Brooklyn Decker as Mallory

  • June Diane Raphael as Brianna

  • Baron Vaughn as Bud

  • Ethan Embry as Coyote

In addition, Peter Gallagher will return as Nick and Peter Cambor will return as Barry, and, as showrunner Marta Kauffman confirmed at PaleyFest back in March 2019, Mary Steenburgen will guest-star in an episode.

Fans have also been anxious to see Dolly Parton, Jane and Lily's 9 to 5 co-star, make an appearance on the Netflix show, but as far as we know, that's still unconfirmed.

"She wants to, but she's busy," Jane told fans during the same PaleyFest panel.

Are there any season 6 spoilers?

We don't know much about the sixth season of Grace and Frankie just yet, but in a January interview with Good Housekeeping, showrunner Marta Kauffman confirmed that Grace's marriage to Nick at the end of season 5 will cause some drama and tension in the new episodes.

"[Grace and Frankie] are navigating new waters in terms of them not living together, and they've been so co-dependent," Marta says. "It's going to be an adjustment — for both of them. With Grace being married, she has a lot to adjust to. It's not quite what she expected in many ways."

Very interesting. But Grace's love life isn't the only one heating up: Marta also revealed that Frankie will have new flame this season.

"We have a new love for Frankie that I'm really excited about," Marta dishes to us. "There's some real fun in that."

Meanwhile, Marta says, Sol will be dealing with some "medicial stuff" and some "money stuff" with Robert by his side.

For now, though, that's all we really know for sure — so we'll just have to wait and watch to see what else Grace & Frankie season 6 has in store for us.
