GOT7’s Mark Tuan Is Now Endorsing a Lipstick, and It Keeps Selling Out

To round out his impressive decade, Mark Tuan of K-pop group GOT7 nabbed his first solo beauty deal by way of China. On December 27, Mentholatum revealed Tuan as the latest ambassador for its Lip Tiara.

The nourishing lipstick comes in a dozen shades, but the K-pop star is only endorsing two of them: V02 (a velvety cherry red) and G05 (a glossy berry red). In the campaign images, swatches of both are shown on the back of Tuan's hand. Although the performer is no stranger is wearing stunning, sparkly makeup (and taking it off for all to see), I don't think he's wearing either shade on his lips.

A couple of hours after the collab was announced on Weibo, GOT7 fans, or IGOT7, noticed both Lip Tiara hues sold out on Chinese e-retailer Tmall, which is the flagship store for Mentholatum. The website quickly restocked each of them only for them to sell out again.

Tmall listed the quantities available of each every time it restocked the lipstick shades, so some mathematical IGOT7s on Twitter kept track of the numbers. In just eight hours, about 7,500 lipstick sold, totaling nearly half a million Chinese yuan (or about $145,000). At press time, the lipstick shades are available once again.

As much as the V02 shade is calling my name, the Mentholatum Lip Tiara is, unfortunately, not available in America. Tuan is from Los Angeles, so it's only fair that it's sold here eventually, right?
