Warning: Major spoilers for Good Witch season 7 episode 1, "The Party," ahead.

It's good to be back in Middleton.

The season 7 premiere episode of Hallmark Channel's Good Witch, "The Party," picked up right where last summer's finale left off. As you may recall, Cassie (Catherine Bell), Joy (Kat Barrell) and Abigail (Sarah Power) found identical purple drawstring bags at the end of last season — but they had no idea who left them and why. Cassie's bag was filled with dirt, but at that point, it was unclear what was tucked inside Joy and Abigail's bags — if anything.

The Merriwick women spend a majority of the first episode of the season trying to figure out where the mysterious purple bags came from. It isn't until the very end of the episode that they uncover a sliver of truth: As the women are pouring the contents of their bags on a table, they catch George (Peter MacNeil) staring right back at them. "I think it’s time we had a talk," he says, leading viewers to believe that he's the culprit.

Just moments before the big reveal, Kat Burnell outed George with a single tweet, spoiling the show for viewers at home.

Goodies immediately called out Kat for potentially ruining the big reveal. "Kat I think you’re a little ahead of the crowd," one fan wrote. "You're a little bit ahead of the crowd there, Kat. *gasp* spoiler! Lol," another commented.

Even with Kat's premature tweet, fans were still caught off guard when George appeared. This left many trying to nail down his connection to the bags. "WHAT?!What is George hiding? And how LONG has he been hiding whatever this is?" one fan wondered. "Young Joy made the symbol with rocks, Cassie found it years later and now Abigail dumps the bags of dirt in the same symbol. And George knows something about it? This is some serious magic happening," another declared.

In a sneak peek for next week's episode, titled "The Shell," George explains his actions. "I promised not to give you three the pouches until the next red haloed moon," he tells the women, right before Cassie and Joy reveal that they may know more about the bags than we initially thought. Even so, it seems like the purple bag mystery has yet to be solved. Ahead of the season 7 premiere, Catherine told TVInsider that the purple bags throw a lot of twists and turns. "It’s definitely something that throws us. We don’t know what it means and we’re going to spend some time trying to figure it out. It’s an exciting mystery that’s going to go through the whole season."
