Goldie Hawn is one of America’s most beloved celebrities. She is an actress, dancer, singer, and producer who has appeared in dozens of films and television programs over the course of her career. She even released an album! The acting gene is strong in Goldie Hawn’s family, as her children also have successful Hollywood careers. They’ve also created the next generation of the Hawn family, and Goldie Hawn is now grandmother to seven grandchildren. Here’s a look at the Hawn family legacy and Goldie Hawn’s grandchildren.

Who is Goldie Hawn?

Of course, it all starts with the matriarch: Goldie Hawn got her start on the comedy show Rowan and Martin’s Laugh-In in 1968, after which she appeared in a number of film and TV series, among them Bird on a Wire (1990), Death Becomes Her (1992), and The First Wives Club (1996). Most recently, she appeared alongside her partner Kurt Russell in the Christmas Chronicles series, with films released in 2018 and 2020. Throughout her career, Goldie Hawn has been applauded for her comedic skills. She’s received several BAFTA Award nominations; won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress in 1970 for the film Cactus Flower; took home the Hasty Pudding Woman of the Year Award in 1999; and was inducted into the Hollywood Hall of Fame in 2017.

In 1972, Goldie Hawn released the album Goldie, and a few singles followed. In addition to her acting and music, Goldie Hawn founded the Hawn Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing academic support for children, in 2003.

Goldie Hawn’s Personal Life

Goldie Hawn is perhaps best known for her current and longstanding relationship with Kurt Russell, which began in 1983. Prior to this, she was married twice: first, from 1969 to 1976, to Gus Trikonis, an actor, writer, director, and producer who appeared as one of the "Sharks" in West Side Story; and then, from 1976 to 1982, to Bill Hudson, a musician and actor who appeared in a handful of television series and films, including The Love Boat and Walt Disney’s World of Color.

There is little doubt that Goldie Hawn has led a remarkable life thus far. Beloved by the public, she’s made a name for herself as a down-to-earth talent with a great sense of humor. Her social media posts also attest to the quality of her life, as they often show her enjoying life with Kurt Russell and her family, particularly her grandkids. But who are they? Read on.

Goldie Hawn’s Grandkids

Goldie Hawn’s legacy continues in her son Oliver Hudson, her daughter Kate Hudson, and her son Wyatt Russell, all of whom have created successful acting careers for themselves. She also has a stepson named Boston Russell, who is Kurt Russell’s son from a previous relationship. Boston favors a quiet life and is not in the family acting business.

Oliver Hudson, Goldie Hawn’s son with Bill Hudson, has appeared in television comedies and dramas like Rules of Engagement and Screen Queens. Kate Hudson, Hawn’s daughter with Bill Hudson, has appeared in dozens of films, including How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days, Bride Wars and, most recently, the trending mystery film Glass Onion. Wyatt Russell, Hawn’s son with Kurt Russell, is best known for his role in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In addition to children, Goldie Hawn has seven grandchildren, including the following.

Ryder Robinson

Ryder Robinson was born in 2004 to Kate Hudson and Chris Robinson, founder and frontman of the rock band The Black Crowes. Hudson and Robinson were married in 2000 and divorced in 2006, and Ryder Robinson has spent a significant amount of his life living with Kate Hudson, Goldie Hawn, and Kurt Russell in Los Angeles, California. According to social media, Ryder Robinson looks to be following in his father’s footsteps more than his mother’s. He plays guitar in his band, Earthless, though he’s also been known to do acting impressions on late night television. Ryder Robinson seems perfectly at ease with his blended family, and actually has tattoos of his siblings’ and half-siblings’ names.

Bingham Hawn Bellamy

Bingham Hawn Bellamy was born to Kate Hudson and her then-fiancé, Matthew Bellamy, in 2011. His name is taken from the family tree, as Bingham is Matt Bellamy’s mother’s maiden name. When Bingham was three years old, Matthew and Kate separated. Kate and the Muse frontman have made a public effort to co-parent Bing and provide stability, love, and support for their son.

Rani Rose Hudson Fujikawa

Rani Rose, pronounced Ronnie Rose, was born to Kate Hudson and her fiance Danny Fujikawa in 2018. She was named for her grandfather Ron Fujikawa, about whom Kate Hudson shared on Instagram: “Ron was the most special man who we all miss dearly. To name her after him is an honor."

Danny Fujikawa was the singer and guitarist for the band Chief, and he and Kate Hudson shared a friendship for over 15 years, before taking their relationship to the next level. They initially met through his stepsisters and announced their romantic relationship in 2017, about a year before Rani Rose was born.

The couple announced their engagement in 2021, and they have created a blended family easily since getting together. They haven’t yet set a date to marry, but social media posts indicate a loving and supportive relationship between Hudson, Fujikawa, and their children, including Rani Rose. Like her cousin Rio Hudson, Rani Rose shows a remarkable resemblance to her famous grandma Goldie. Since she’s still quite young, whether she inherited Goldie’s love of acting, music, and dance remains to be seen. If, however, she does decide to follow a career in art, music, or acting, she’ll have plenty of teachers to guide her.

Wilder Brooks Hudson

Wilder Brooks Hudson was born in 2007 to Oliver Hudson and Erinn Bartlett. Oliver Hudson and Erinn Bartlett, an actress known for her roles in films like Little Nicky, Shallow Hal, and Rumor Has It, married in 2006. Bartlett also acted in the film Raising Helen, which starred sister-in-law Kate Hudson. Wilder Brooks Hudson is the oldest of Oliver Hudson’s three children. While we don’t yet know if Wilder Brooks Hudson will be an actor, he’s certainly been born into the right family if he ends up pursuing a career in the arts. Photos and posts shared on social media showcase a happy, loving family that will undoubtedly support him, no matter his dreams or aspirations.

Bodhi Hawn Hudson

Bodhi Hawn Hudson was born to Oliver Hudson and Erinn Bartlett in 2010, and he is the second of their three children, following Wilder. His name translates to enlightenment or awakening in Sanskrit. Not much else is known of Bodhi Hawn Hudson, but it’s likely that he inherited the acting gene, too.

Rio Hudson

Rio Hudson is the third of Oliver Hudson and Erinn Bartlett’s children. Born in 2013, she follows their first child Wilder Brooks Hudson and Bodhi Hawn Hudson, and is the only daughter they share. Social media photos of Rio and Grandma Goldie Hawn highlight her intergenerational likeness and beauty. The two look strikingly similar. Rio Hudson also appears to share a great resemblance to her cousin, Kate Hudson’s daughter Rani Rose.

Buddy Prine Russell

Buddy Prine Russell was born to Wyatt Russell and Meredith Hagner in 2021. Russell and Hagner, who married in 2019, are both impressive figures. Russell played professional hockey, and he was a goaltender in the 2022 NHL All-Star Game’s break-away challenge. He’s also played a variety of roles in films like Cowboys & Aliens, 22 Jump Street, Arrested Development, and Under the Banner of Heaven, as well as playing Captain America in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

Buddy Prine Russell’s mom, Meredith Hagner, is also an actor. She earned a Daytime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Younger Actress in a Drama Series in 2009, and has appeared in TV series including Veep, Bob’s Burgers, and Disenchantment. Buddy Prine Russell is still just a little one, so there’s no telling what he might be when he grows up. But from the social media images posted and stories shared about him, it’s clear that he’s going to have support and love no matter his path.

Stars are born.

It’s impossible not to love Goldie Hawn. Her comedic talent and her dazzling smile are her trademarks, but her legacy also includes her charitable work and, of course, her family. She is the matriarch of a tight-knit and loving family that includes four children and seven grandchildren. Some of her grandchildren have even begun to show an interest in art and music, joining bands and honing their talents.

In a family with mom Goldie Hawn in the mix, talent does seem to be everywhere. All three of her children are successful in their own right, and Goldie continues to appear on screens across America, as many of her movies are streamed to new audiences who weren’t yet born when they were released. There is little doubt that as her grandchildren grow up, they will be raised in a supportive and loving family dedicated to helping them succeed and meet their dreams.
