Golden Knights hold epic pregame show to kick off Stanley Cup Final
The Vegas Golden Knights hosted the Washington Capitals in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final on Monday Night — having reached the finals in their inaugural season as a team.
Naturally, in true Las Vegas fashion, the Golden Knights had to put on an insane pregame show to kick off the series.
First came an intense pregame video, combined with a group of archers shooting down every other team in the NHL on the ice to “defend their fortress.”
Then, skaters in red capes representing the Washington Capitals came bursting out on the ice. They were brought down, though, by a giant cannon ball launched from the upper deck and then finished off by a “Golden Knight” in an epic battle at center-ice.

They even brought in Michael Buffer, the legendary boxing announcer, to announce the starting lineups.

The Golden Knights weren’t the only ones to pack their arena on Monday night, though.
The Washington Capitals filled out Capital One Arena for a game watch, and seemed to be nearly as loud as T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Vegas beat the Capitals 6-4 on Monday night, taking the early lead in the series thanks to three goals in the final period.
The Golden Knights have set the bar high as far as pregame shows go. We’ll have to wait and see what they bring for Game 2 of the series on Wednesday night.
