What Do I Wear Tumblr @ #NYFW
Going on their 9th season at New York Fashion Week, our friends at Tumblr appointed some of their best performing artists to hit the streets. Yahoo Style checked in with just a few of these artists to get a view of their experience at NYFW.
Tumblr’s Joel Castillo created his page What Do I Wear three years ago, and since then, he has received acclaim from brands like DKNY, Jeremy Scott, Calvin Klein, and Nicole Miller. What Do I Wear and Tumblr have created many opportunities for Castillo that allows him to meet with fashion’s most powerful figures—he recently met Anna Wintour at the Wes Gordon show in New York City.
This season he plans to elevate his site by producing high quality art and GIFs to create a more first-handed experience for viewers. Perhaps his work with Tumblr will even land him on the streets of Milan, London, and Paris. “I love what I do, so I don’t think I’ll ever stop,” Castillo told Yahoo Style.
We caught up with Castillo to talk about his favorite shows and his NYFW experience. Here’s one of his creative GIFs from the Mara Hoffman show!
