GoFundMe For Famous Burger King Employee Tops $250K

Things are still looking up for Kevin Ford, the Burger King employee who went viral after a video of him receiving gifts from his manager to celebrate 27 years at his job surfaced on TikTok. It's worth mentioning that in those 27 years, the 54-year-old father of four never called out of work a single day.
The popularity of the video led to a GoFundMe that reached a little over $250,000. And just recently Ford was also given this priceless moment:
While appearing on Today, Ford was surprised by an appearance from his daughter and grandchildren, who he hadn't seen in four years. "I haven't seen you guys in so long," said a teary-eyed Ford as he hugged his family.
Prior to seeing his family, he discussed with Today co-hosts Savannah Guthrie and Craig Melvin the rollercoaster of emotions he went through after the video of him went viral.
"It's like a dream come true that nobody could even think of this. It's just overwhelming. Especially all the support I'm receiving every day. It's just awesome," Ford said.
The fast-food employee was of course asked how he managed to never miss a day of work. "I don't know. Maybe I'm a robot...You just work," he said. "And you gotta feed these kids and put 'em through school, so I just never even thought of missing a day."
And although his GoFundMe is well into the six figures, Ford is still more than grateful for the cup and candy he received from his manager.
"I loved it...I was just grateful to have it. I'm still grateful. I got that cup in my room," he said.
