Once you’ve cleared your acne, found the right skin care products and regularly get eight hours of sleep, you deserve to have a perfect complexion, right? Sadly, that’s not always the case, thanks to acne scars and dark spots, but Drunk Elephant’s latest launch is here to combat just that.

Bouncy Brightfacial is the newest product in the popular skin care brand’s lineup and is classified as a leave-on mask. According to a release from the brand, the brightening formula contains 10% azelaic and 1% salicylic acids, which work to “clarify uneven tone, fade stubborn spots, and reduce the look of redness, revealing a brighter, bouncier, more even complexion.”

But don’t let the word “acid” throw you off. Azelaic acid is soothing and much milder than other acids (hence why there is only 1% salicylic). Together, Bouncy Brightfacial’s ingredients combat dark spots, discoloration, acne marks and hyperpigmentation. Plus, several plant oils (like marula and chia) along with ceramides and niacinamide are also in the mix, so the mask leaves your face moisturized and “bouncy.”

Drunk Elephant suggests using two to three pumps of the mask as the last step in your morning or night skin care routine. But if you’re using it during the day, be sure to layer some SPF over it. The brand also notes that Bouncy Brightfacial works best over time when used consistently, so don’t worry if you don’t see immediate results.

So why not clarify and even out your skin just in time to step into the new year looking *brighter* than ever? You can purchase Drunk Elephant’s Bouncy Brightfacial on the brand’s website as well as at Sephora (where it already has almost 2,000 “loves”).
