"Glee" Stars Amber Riley, Chris Colfer, Naya Rivera, and More Reunited for a "Beautiful Night"
Just in time for their six-year high school reunion — that's a thing, right? — a handful of alumni from William McKinley High School came together on Wednesday night to catch up on each other's lives. According to photos several of them posted after the happy reunion, Glee stars Naya Rivera, Heather Morris, Amber Riley, Chris Colfer, Matthew Morrison, Jane Lynch, Kevin McHale, Jenna Ushkowitz, Becca Tobin, and Vanessa Lengies (AKA Santana, Brittany, Mercedes, Kurt, Mr. Schuester, Coach Sue Sylvester, Artie, Tina, Kitty, and Sugar, respectively) were all in attendance, as were several crew members, including choreographer Zach Woodlee, script coordinator Aristotle Kousakis, and writers Matt Hodgson and Michael Hitchcock, according to People. No word yet on whether there was any spontaneous bursting into song.
Several of the reunion attendees posted the same group photo on Instagram. "It's a GLEE-Union!! What a beautiful night hangin with my old kids & new kid! Ohana..." Matthew captioned his post, referring to the fact that his wife, Renee, and four-month-old son, Revel, joined the squad on Wednesday. "I love these Gleeple 💜 see you all in another couple of years 😂😘" Amber captioned hers. Kevin also uploaded the sweet pic to his own account, writing, "Almost a decade later and we still want to spontaneously see each other. In public. ♥️," as did Heather, who captioned it, "Mi forever familia 👨👩👦👦👨👩👦👦." Renee, who married Matthew in October 2014, posted several videos from the exciting night on her Instagram Story, showing many of the Gleeple passing around Revel and letting him play with their hair, noses, and earrings.
Since Glee ended in March 2015, the cast members have stayed close, celebrating some sort of reunion at least once a year. In February 2016, in honor of Amber's 30th birthday, Naya, Kevin, and Jenna joined her for a glamorous b-day bash. And in October 2017, Darren Criss and Lea Michele sang a duet at show tunes festival Elsie Fest, which was also attended by Jenna and Glee creator Ryan Murphy.
