Netflix’s breakout true crime documentary, Girl in the Picture, details the disturbing and twisted story of Franklin Delano Floyd, who was put on death row for murder and kidnapping. But that wasn't all he did. Floyd also abducted a young girl named Suzanne Marie Sevakis, the daughter of his former wife, and raised her as his own.

Here's the long and short of it: Floyd married Suzanne’s mom, Sandi Chipman, a mother of four, and later kidnapped her children. He dropped two of the kids at an orphanage and kept Suzanne, who he renamed “Sharon Marshall" and then "Tonya Hughes," the documentary explained. Floyd raised her as his own and eventually forced her to marry him, the documentary details. Suzanne later died in a suspected hit-and-run accident when she was 20, according to the Tampa Bay Times.

Both of Suzanne's biological parents, Sandi (who now goes by Sandra Willet) and Cliff Sevakis appear in the documentary to talk about their daughter and share their stories. But who is Sandra Willet, exactly, and Suzanne’s real father, Cliff Sevakis? And where are they now? Here’s what you need to know:

Who is Cliff Sevakis?

Cliff Sevakis is Suzanne’s biological father. He’s also the owner of Cliff Sevakis Marketing, Advertising, and Corporate Communications, according to LinkedIn. The site also suggests Cliff currently lives in Bellevue, Washington.

According to the documentary, Cliff separated from Sandi after he returned from the Vietnam War and was not able to help parent with his wife Sandra.

Who is Sandi Chipman?

Sandi Chipman (now called Sandra Willet) is Suzanne’s biological mother. She doesn’t seem to have much of an online presence, making further details about her life difficult to find.

How long were they married?

Sandra and Cliff were married when they were teenagers, they explained in the documentary, and they had Suzanne when Sandra was just 19. It’s not clear how long they were married.

Who else did Sandra marry?

Sandra has been married several times. Aside from Cliff, she also married a man named Dennis Brandenburg, and had three children with him—daughters Allison and Amy, and a son named Phillip, per The Cinemaholic.

Sandra later met a man named Franklin Delano Floyd at church, she explained in the documentary. At the time, she had given up her children to the state after experiencing trauma from a natural disaster, and Floyd said he would marry her and help raise her children. (At that time, Floyd was going by the name Brandon Williams according to E! News.)

After they were married, Sandra ended up having to serve 30 days in jail for writing a bad check and, when she was released, she learned that Floyd had taken her children, per The Cinemaholic. Sandra found Allison and Amy at an orphanage, but couldn’t locate Suzanne or Phillip.

Did Suzanne Sevakis have siblings?

Yes, Suzanne has three siblings—Amy, Allison, and Phillip, who was listed as a missing person until 2020, when he submitted his DNA for analysis, per Forensic Magazine.

Who is Phillip Brandenburg?

Phillip Brandenburg is Sandra’s son and Suzanne’s half brother. He disappeared after he was kidnapped by Floyd, but it was later discovered that he was adopted by a couple named Mary and Bob Patterson when he was just six weeks old, according to Forensic Magazine. He now goes by the name Steve Patterson.

Where are Cliff and Sandi now?

Cliff is still running his company in Washington. He eventually connected with Suzanne’s daughter, Megan Dufresne, who was given up for adoption in 1989, according to the Independent. He had this to say in the documentary: “I can’t talk to Suzanne, but I can talk to Megan. And that’ll do.”

Again, it’s unclear where Sandra is now.
