Gigi Hadid Heads Back to Work for the First Time Since Welcoming Her Baby Girl

Gigi Hadid is back at work just a couple of months after giving birth to her daughter with partner Zayn Malik.

The model took to Instagram Stories on December 3 to share a selfie from her new gig. “Would say back 2 work but bein a mamma is a job like no otherrr,” she wrote under a selfie, per People, also adding, “BACK IN THE OFFICE.” Given that it looks like she's wearing a white robe in the picture, we're guessing this is a dressing room snap.

The same day her mother, Real Housewives star Yolanda Hadid, shared a picture of herself holding her granddaughter. In it, the two are bundled up and outside, facing away from the camera. “We spent the day while Mamma was away,” Yolanda wrote, tagging Gigi.

Hadid and Malik haven't revealed too much about their daughter—we still don't know her name and haven't seen her face, presumably for privacy reasons—but the family is sharing how much joy she brings them. On October 18, Yolanda posted a picture of her hand holding the infant's and captioned it, “My heart is expending [sic] with so much love and joy for this little baby girl she is an angel sent to us from above.....Thank you Mommy & Daddy for making me a Oma, I love every minute of it 🥰”

And while Gigi hasn't been on any runways since giving birth (not that there are many runways to walk, thanks to the pandemic), she has been doing a version of modeling: posting beautiful photos from her pregnancy and early motherhood. Back in November, Gigi wrote that she was feeling “a whole new kind of busy and tired” beneath a series of photos with her baby girl, as well as the family's Christmas decorations.

This, of course, is not the first time Yolanda has watched over her granddaughter while reportedly living with Zigi. In fact, she’s even acted as a babysitter while Gigi and Zayn enjoyed their first “date night” since becoming parents. “Mom and Dad’s first date night,” Gigi wrote on her Instagram Stories in early October. “She’s in the other room with Oma, but miss her [so much] lol.”

A source told E! News how important Yolanda's presence has been for the family back in October, saying, “She is their built-in nurse, and they are so grateful to have her.”
