Gigi Hadid’s New Bag Is So Small You Just Might Miss It
Gigi Hadid is currently in Milan for Fashion Week, and while she surely has packed several suitcases for the trip, it seems the supermodel is scaling back on size where her handbag is concerned. When Hadid was photographed around and about this morning in Italy, she carried an almost comically teensy Fendi mini purse that proved the best things really do come in small packages.
Hadid has a thing for compact carryalls, and frequently can be seen with a Stalvey top-handle in hand. And she’s not the only one: celebrities like Kendall Jenner, Rihanna, and Bella Hadid have defied logic with bags that can barely contain keys and credit card (forget an iPhone Plus). Today’s Fendi micro peekaboo with 3-D floral appliqué may have had something to do with the fact that Hadid walked the brand’s runway mere moments later. Though it was tiny, the ensemble she paired it with came with plenty of pockets, should she need to stow any extra essentials: She layered Christian Dada’s corduroy double-breasted overcoat with split shoulders over a Paul & Joe dusty purple blazer and a turtleneck in a color-coordinating stripe, then, in a further show of support for Fendi, tucked the brand's mesh monogram boots under cropped jeans. True to form, Hadid finished the look with her other microscopic accessory signature: tiny sunglasses.
