A new shot of Gigi Hadid, 26, and Bella Hadid, 25, for Versace's latest campaign has been revealed. In it, and they're both completely nude, with just hair and handbags carefully covering their privates.

Donatella Versace herself shared the image of the supermodel sisters taken by photographer duo Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, writing, "MY. VERSACE. GODDESSES"

The shot features Bella on the left, with her long dark waved hair and black bag mirroring mum-of-one Gigi's long blonde hair and white bag, with them both holding the same red apple in between them, and a snake climbing Bella's leg. The Garden of Eden reference is clear - presumably with two Eves.

Celebs were quick the praise the Renaissance-style shot. Emily Ratajkowski commented with a string of heart-eye emojis, while Shalom Harlow wrote, "THIS IS EPIC." Gigi herself commented, "Love u" with a red apple and fire heart emoji, and Maluma, featured in earlier campaign shots, also left a series of fire emojis.

The Hadid sisters have teamed up to star in Versace's spring/summer collection, with Donatella announcing the collab last month, and explaining why she chose the pair to star and the meaning behind it.

She shared a series of images, including one of herself wedged between the sisters, with them all wearing metallic black mini dresses with pops of colour, and matching crimped hairstyles. One shot showed Bella wearing a midriff-revealing skirt suit and Gigi in a strapless tight dress, and another showcased a dramatic pose from the sisters in glittering pink and green dresses, clasping hands.

Donatella's caption reads, "The complete Spring Summer 22 campaign is here!

"Family is so important to me, which is why I wanted these images to focus on sisterhood. I love this campaign so much that I couldn't help but join my Versace queens @gigihadid and @bellahadid in a shot!! Girls, you are inspirational and empowering and I love you soooo much!"

The official Versace account explained the theme further, with, "Embrace, Empower, Versace,

"The VersaceSS22 campaign is an exploration of family and belonging in its different forms; sisterhood, community, and an embrace into @donatella_versace's global Versace family."

At the time, Gigi wrote on social media: "Being a Versace girl has been one of my greatest honors over the years; but the most valued moments are the ones with you @donatella_versace", adding "If you get to know your heroes, and they're better than you could have dreamed, remind them!"

Bella also showed her appreciation for the opportunity, writing, "This still makes me get the body chills. I can't believe I get to work for one of my biggest idols, side by side my big sister," thanking the entire Versace crew.

It's always a special occasion when the Hadid sisters, usually booked separately to model all over the world, come together. This was previously done – also in the nude – for British Vogue in 2018. This featured a simplistic, natural, black and white image of them both sitting closely together on the floor, with their limbs carefully positioned.

Sharing the image, Vogue wrote, "As the fashion industry's most in-demand sisters, we're more familiar seeing @gigihadid and @bellahadid apart than together. However, the sisters unite for the March 2018 issue of #NewVogue, on newsstands February 2. Photographed by #StevenMeisel, styled by #JoeMcKenna."

Editor-in-Chief Edward Enninful OBE also added, "Sisters reunited", in his post.
