If you have a problem with Chance the Rapper‘s proposal, then he has a problem with you.

In case you missed it, the “All Night” singer, whose real name is Chancelor Bennett, popped the question to longtime girlfriend Kirsten Corley on July 4. Chance got down on one knee and asked Corley — who is the mother of his 2-year-old daughter, Kensli — to marry him during a backyard barbecue with family and friends. Sweet, right? Not according to Twitter user Beloved Son Rian who called it “kinda f*** boyish.”

Chance caught wind of the above tweet and decided to say something, sliding through the guy’s direct messages on Twitter. How do we know this? Because Beloved Son Rian shared a screenshot of the message sent from the rapper’s verified account.

“I know you were prolly saying all that s*** to be funny, but its still pretty wack that u had all them tweets worth of hate for another n***** proposal. Get off my d***,” Chance wrote.

Turns out, Beloved Son Rian wasn’t saying it to be funny. He really thinks the proposal is BS. The guy doubled down, tweeting he still thinks that it is “wack” and that the rapper is wack, too.

The only person whose opinion matters is Corley’s, and judging from a video of the proposal, she loved it.

Keep your head up, Chance!
