Kirby Smart’s 2022 football coaching staff isn't complete after all.

Defensive backs coach Jahmile Addae is joining Miami’s coaching staff under Mario Cristobal to coach the same position. Addae changed his Twitter profile Tuesday to Defensive Backs Coach -- The University of Miami.

“At the end of the day it’s business, never personal!!!!,” tweeted Georgia defensive back Tykee Smith, who also was coached by Addae at West Virginia, on Monday night.

Addae posted a farewell message to Georgia on Twitter, thanking coach Kirby Smart and saying his "time in Athens has come to an end."

Addae, hired last offseason, is returning to his home state. He’s from outside of Tampa.

Georgia will have a third different DBs coach in as many years. Addae came from West Virginia to replace Charlton Warren who left to be defensive coordinator at Indiana.

New co-defensive coordinator Will Muschamp also worked with the defensive backs last season when he moved into an on-field role.

Addae was ranked No. 2 in the nation in coach recruiting rankings for the 2022 class by 247Sports. Georgia signed four 5-star defensive backs including Malaki Starks from Jefferson.

Muschamp played a bigger role in recruiting four-star cornerback Julian Humphrey from Houston in person, according to his high school coach.

Georgia officially announced a new outside linebackers coach on Sunday in Chidera Uzo-Diribe who was hired from TCU’s staff. Dan Lanning, the defensive coordinator who left to become Oregon’s head coach, was the outside linebackers coach.

Wide receivers coach Cortez Hankton also left to coach the same position at LSU and was replaced by former Bulldog wide receiver and assistant Bryan McClendon.

Georgia’s secondary will return starting safety Christopher Smith and starting cornerback Kelee Ringo as well as nickel back William Poole and safety Dan Jackson.

Smith, a nickel back/safety, also is back after seeing limited time last season due to injuries.
