George H.W. Bush Is Reportedly in "Intensive Care"

Former President George H.W. Bush is recovering at a Texas hospital after contracting an infection that spread to his blood, his spokesman said in a statement late Monday.

Bush was admitted to Houston Methodist Hospital Sunday morning, the day after attending the funeral of his wife of 73 years, Barbara.

CNN is reporting that Bush is in "intensive care" and that the infection with which the former president was admitted to the hospital "led to sepsis, which can be life-threatening, and "was in critical condition" on Sunday.
