We have so much access to different makeup techniques these days that it makes it easy for anyone with a smartphone to learn how to apply the latest looks and perfect how we paint our faces. If you really want to learn how to draw the perfect cat’s-eye or set your concealer so that it lasts longer, you can do a simple YouTube search for hundreds of tutorials that will give you the tips you need. But watching videos and applying those techniques on yourself can be a daunting task if you don’t have the right tools. There's now a simple, yet innovative makeup brush holder that makes it easier than ever to follow video tutorials and perfect your real-life makeup application.
The brainchild of Australian high school student Juliette Davies, Aesthetic Studio Co.’s Brush Box ($16) is one of those, “Why didn’t anyone think of this before” products that you never knew you needed. “I came up with this idea because I encountered this need myself, struggling to stand up my phone to watch tutorials or videos while I do my makeup,” says Davies. “I was also completing my high school design project at the time, so I was always on the lookout possible innovative design solutions and I wanted to incorporate this into my project.”
The Brush Box looks just like any other clear, acrylic makeup organizer, but its angled phone stand is what makes it an absolute must for anyone who spends hours trying to perfect their favorite beauty influencer's or makeup artist’s looks. It’s currently available on Etsy, but Davies hopes to expand her business and take her simple, yet innovative idea to the makeup loving masses. “In the future, I would like to get my own website instead of being on Etsy, and hopefully be able to collaborate with beauty influencers to spread the word about Aesthetic Studio Co.”
