Gayle King Has No Qualms About Third-Wheeling It on Oprah & Stedman Graham’s Vacations

In an Entertainment Tonight Exclusive, Gayle King was interviewed about her upcoming show and past trips with lifelong friends, Oprah Winfrey and Stedman Graham. King said in this interview that she didn’t mind one bit being the third-wheel to the couple.

While being the third wheel is typically the worst for most people, King admitted that she kinda loves it.

“I’m a proud third wheeler. I make no apologies for that. I got divorced back in 1994, and I’ve been their third wheel ever since.” She continued, adding, “The good news is that Stedman is always very welcoming, so it never occurs to me when she says, ‘We’re going to so and so,’ I’m like, ‘When?’ It doesn’t occur to me that I’m not invited. But throughout the years, we’ve gone on some great trips together. And that’s not gonna change.”

But this time, it’s just King and Winfrey on the road.

Gayle King and Oprah Winfrey are back on the road again after their infamous cross-country trek over a decade ago. But now it’s for the new show, OG Chronicles: Joy Ride, where they go on a grand adventure through Santa Barbara, California, surprising long-time fans.

In the same interview, King said, “We’re calling it a homage to the road trip. So what we did, we did a joy ride around Santa Barbara where she lives, and we surprised Oprah insiders.” She added that the whole experience has been “great fun.”
